The workshops were a great opportunity for us to meet people from all around Europe and listen to their views and proposed actions on how to solve the refugee crisis on our continent. We shared what challanges Poland faces, especially taking into account the recent refugee wave from Ukraine and learned more about different communities abroad, such as that of Roma people in Spain. It was also interesting to listen to municipality officials talking about how the refugee crisis is present in Larissa and how it was approached by city’s citizens and local authorities. Besides the workshops, the trip was a great opportunity to enjoy the free time with other Solidart participants, as well as to explore Greek culture and customs, especially at a local festival we went to. We also got to visit local historical sites and were excited to see how Larissa is slowly becoming a city which could be considered a cultural centre of Greece.
